This recipe always reminds me of my childhood. With seven children and working 40 hours a week my mother would still make us home baked goodies (until I was old enough to help out), This one is quick and easy. Delish!

Ingredients

1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips

How To Make crisp toffee bars

Step 1

Cream butter, brown sugar and vanilla. Mix in flour. When mixed well add chocolate chips.

Step 2

Press in 9" x 13" cake pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 3

This recipe can easily be cut in half and pressed in a 9" square pan.
