FLORIDA: Munch your way across the USA. Julie Tomlinson, the state of Florida is now represented. This recipe is from "Capitol Cookies" with recipes from every state and Washington, DC. This recipe was submitted by Christian Heritage Church, Tallahassee, FL, Ruth S. McInvale, Chairperson. I personally have not made these so, Julie, if you make them, let us know if they make the state of FL proud.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- - additional powdered sugar
How To Make florida's crescents

Step 1Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Mix all ingredients. Take a teaspoon of dough and roll between fingers to make a crescent shape. Be careful that all Crescents are similar in size so they will bake evenly.

Step 2Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for approximately 40 minutes. Roll warm cookies in additional powdered sugar. Cool on wire racks.

Step 3*This recipe is very similar to Mexican Wedding Cookies.
