cream cheese swirl cookies
Fun little cookie with many finishing options, and tasty too...I just did the quickest at the moment, sugar (in photo), when I was trying them out. In honesty I'm not very fond of these...just not enough flavor for me I think... BUT everyone else that has tried one, loves them...especially the daycare kids, but of course there are sprinkles :)

How To Make cream cheese swirl cookies
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350.
-
Step 2Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar until very smooth and creamy, scraping down sides of bowl often. Stir in vanilla, add flour and mix until just combined.
-
Step 3Fit pastry bag with large star tip and fill bag with dough.
-
Step 4On parchment lined cookie sheets, pipe dough into 1 1/2" 'S' shape, about 2" apart. Sprinkle with colored sugar if desired at this point.
-
Step 5If using preserves or frosting, gently press your thumb into each end of the 'S' leaving a small indentation. Bake until golden around edges 16-18 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack. Cool completely then fill each indentation with about 1/8 teaspoon of preserves or frosting of choice.
