Ingredients

1/2 - shortening, butter flavor
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans

How To Make cream cheese cookies

Step 1

Heat oven to 375. Cream shortening, cream cheese and milk in medium bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.

Step 2

Beat in sugar and vanilla.
Step 3

Mix in flour.
Step 4

Stir in nuts.
Step 5

Drop level measuring tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Step 6

Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
Step 7

Remove to cooling rack.
Step 8

Lemon or Orange Variation: Add 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon or orange peel to dough.
