Exchanging postcards is another one of my hobbies. This recipe is from one of my postcards. I wanted to have the recipe--and try it--before I sent the card. The back of the card says the recipe is from JoAnne Bottoms of Eureka, Texas.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 package chocolate chips
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups oats
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups coconut
How To Make cowboy cookies

Step 1Cream butter and sugars together. Add vanilla and mix well.

Step 2Add eggs, flour, salt, and soda.

Step 3Add oats, coconut, and chocolate chips. Mix well.

Step 4Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
