I tasted these cookies for the first time during a NYE stay at the Double Tree. I have been trying to figure out the delicious ingredients every since. The pinch of cinnamon and fresh lemon juice makes the difference. Every ingredient in this cookies stands out. If you are a cookie lover, this recipe is a MUST TRY! The recipe was sent to me by a friend and I am forever in her debt. My sister and I created a fun video preparing this recipe together

Makes 26 cookies
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/4 teaspoons pure vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 2/3 cups semi sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 3/4 cups chopped pecans

Step 1Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar in a bowl using a mixer for about 2 minutes

Step 2Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Step 3Add eggs , vanilla and lemon to the mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then medium for about 2 minutes. The mixture should be light and fluffy. Be sure to scrap the sides of the bowl.

Step 4Add chocolate chip and pecans mix quickly on low. Do not over work.

Step 5add dry ingredients including the cinnamon and mix on low until dough forms. Be sure not to over work.

Step 6Portion dough with a scoop ( about 3 tablespoons)

Step 7Place cookies on a cookie she 2 inches apart. Bake for 20 to 25 or until edges are golden but the center is soft.

Step 8Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool
