I have made these for years and love the chocolate orange combination.

Ingredients

1 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup soft butter
1 - egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon orange rind, grated
1/4 cup milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
1 cup rolled oats

How To Make cookies - chocolate orange nut oaties

Step 1

sift together flour and salt.

Step 2

beat sugar and butter until creamy. add egg and vanilla.
Step 3

put orange fine into milk. add to butter mixture, alternating with flour mixture.
Step 4

mix chocolate, nuts, oats into batter.
Step 5

drop by heaping teaspoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet. bake at 375 degrees about 12 minutes.
