I baked this one year and they were a hit with Santa. I ran across this recipe in some of my mother's old recipes.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter at room temperature
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 3/4 cups plain flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 - 16 oz. container of white frosting
- 1 - bag of m&m's milk chocolate candies for the holidays
How To Make cookie candy canes

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter and confectioners' sugar. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Form dough and roll out on a floured surface, to about 1/4-inch thickness.

Step 2Cut candy cane shapes with a cookie cutter or a knife. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until light brown. Let cool. Frost with white frosting and decorate with M&M's chocolate candies.
