These cookies come out with just a bit of cake like consistency. Add some mini chocolate chips and you have an extra special treat. These cookies are wonderful with a big glass of milk or a cup of coffee. Yum! I was just experimenting in the kitchen and came up with these really good cookies.

- 1 box devil food cake mix
- 3 - eggs
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 1 cup powered sugar
- 6 tablespoons melted butter
- 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate morsels

Step 1Preheat oven to 375.

Step 2Melt butter and set aside to cool. Chop chocolate bar into pieces.

Step 3Place powdered sugar and corn starch in a shallow dish. Mix with a fork to blend.

Step 4Place cake mix, cooled butter, chocolate, eggs, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl. Add chocolate morsels.

Step 5Mix by hand or mixer until well blended and a dough forms. The dough will be sticky.

Step 6Form dough into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. An ice cream scoop makes this step easier. If rolling balls by hand, keep some powered sugar on your fingers to help in the rolling process.

Step 7Place balls on a cool, ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

Step 8Bake 1 sheet at a time, in the center of the oven for 9-11 minutes.

Step 9Transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.

Step 10Store in airtight container with wax paper or parchment separating layers.
