  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
  • 1 1/2 c
    sifted flour
  • 1 tsp
  • 3 c
    rolled oats
  • 1/2 lb
    salted spanish peanuts

How to Make Colonial Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies


  1. Cream shortening and add sugar gradually.
  2. Add vanilla and eggs and beat well.
  3. Sift flour and soda; add to mixture.
  4. Add rolled oats and peanuts; mix well.
  5. Shape dough into small balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 7 minutes at 425.
