  • 1 stick

  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 1 lb
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp
  • ·
    coconut, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp
    coconut extract

How to Make Coconut Bars


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Beat 1 egg and add nuts.
  3. Add melted butter to this mixture.
  4. Mix in dry cake mix. Press the mixture into botton of greased 11x15 or 10x12 inch pan.
  5. Beat 2 eggs with cream cheese, sugar and extracts.
  6. Pour on top of crust and spread evenly. Top with shredded coconut.
  7. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
