I've been making these for years now, and they are always a hit with everyone (ESPECIALLY the chocoholics!)! ALLERGY ALERT: Just in case of allergies, be sure to let everyone know that there ARE nuts in the dough (I always use ground pecans, so you really can't tell that they are in there). * This picture is not mine (got from website recipe)! I lost all of my pictures, so I'll have to add one when I make these for this Christmas holiday.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 package (9 oz) chocolate kisses
  • - confectioners' sugar

How To Make cocoa kiss cookies

  • Step 1
    In large bowl, beat butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  • Step 2
    Stir together flour and cocoa; add in butter mixture, beating until blended.
  • Step 3
    Add pecans; beat until well blended.
  • Step 4
    Refrigerate dough about 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.
  • Step 5
    Heat oven to 375.
  • Step 6
    Remove wrappers from chocolate pieces.
  • Step 7
    Mold scant tablespoon of dough around each chocolate piece, covering completely.
  • Step 8
    Shape into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step 9
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set.
  • Step 10
    Cool slightly, about 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  • Step 11
    Cool completely and roll in powdered sugar.
  • Step 12
