Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    corn syrup, light
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda

How to Make CLASSIC SUGAR COOKIES

Step-by-Step

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375. Combine sugar & butter in a large bowl.
    Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer. Add eggs, syrup & vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, & baking soda. Add gradually to creamed mixture at a low speed. Divide dough into quarters. Place a quarter of dough on floured wax paper. Roll into 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out with floured cutters. Transfer to ungressed baking sheet, 2 in apart. Bake @ 375 for 5-9 minutes.
