Ingredients
- 2 sticks cold and cubed unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, light
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups chocolate chips or chunks
How To Make classic chocolate chip cookies

Step 1preheat oven to 375.

Step 2in bowl of electric mixer with paddle, cream together butter and sugars until well blended and fluffy.

Step 3add eggs, one at a time, mix in vanilla and beat until well incorporated.

Step 4add flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and mix until just combined.

Step 5gently fold in chocolate chips or chunks and nuts. you can use mini chocolate chips and the regular chocolate chips together it works great.

Step 6transfer dough to clean work surface and gently mix dough by hand to ensure even distribution of ingredients.

Step 7scoop dough (about a tablespoon each) onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 8i used one of those spring release cookie scoopers it makes it so much easier.

Step 9also, in between batches i would keep the bowl of dough in the fridge to keep cool.

Step 10bake in preheated oven about 10-12 minutes, depending on how gooey and rawish you like the interior, until very lightly browned, taking care not to over bake.

Step 11i had my rack in the middle part of my oven and it took about 11 minutes.

Step 12only bake 1 pan at a time. let it cool on rack and store what you don't immediately eat in a airtight container.
