clara's toffee squares
Another great cookie recipe from my grandma's recipe box. As the oldest grandchild interested in cooking I was blessed to be given her recipe box and several of her favorite cookbooks. I love going through them and reading notes she made in the margins. Our only regret she took her kuchen recipe with her, we thought. My mom passed away early this year and we came across a copy she had sent my mom. No directions, just ingredients, but I have made her kuchen and it is still the best.
