This is a combination of everything I aim for in a cookie: chewy, vegan, chocolate and easy! In an effort to please my non-vegan cookie lovers, I added Nutella ;)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup canola or olive oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons almond milk or half and half
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder, dark or unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup nutella or dairy free cocoa spread, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • - raw course sugar

How To Make cinnamon sugar nutella crinkles

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine first 6 ingredients until uniform and consistent color and texture.
  • Step 2
    Microwave nutella (or chocolate spread of choice) and mix. Mix in cinnamon.
  • Step 3
    Add cornstarch and baking soda to wet mix. Add flour and mix until all one color (brown).
  • Step 4
    Scoop golf ball size portions and roll in sugar. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10 min. Will be soft when taken out but do not over bake.
