cinnamon spice chess bars
This is my fall version of Chess Bars. These turned out with a soft chewy bottom layer and a creamy warm cinnamon-spice topping. They smell so good while baking. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 4 large eggs, divided
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
How To Make cinnamon spice chess bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine cake mix, 1 egg, butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla in bowl and mix well. Batter will be very thick. Spread in prepared 9x13 inch pan sprayed with non stick cooking spray.

Step 2Combine remaining 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, cream cheese and powdered sugar in bowl and beat well. Reserve 3/4 cup batter.

Step 3In 3/4 cup batter, add spices and mix. Drop dollops of batter and swirl with knife. Bake for 50 minutes.
