Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter equals 1 stick of butter
- 3 - egg whites, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon water
- SUGAR GLAZE
- 1 1/2 cups powder sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make cinnamon flats

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in medium bowl. Cut in butter until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Beat in 2 or the egg whites and vanilla mix with hands to form soft dough.

Step 2Divide dough into 6 equal pieces place on greashed 15by10 jelly roll pan. Press dough evenly to edges of pan using hands,

Step 3smooth top of dough. Mix remaining egg white and water in small cup. brush over dough. Lightly score dough into 2x2 inch square.

Step 4Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned and firm when lightly touched. While still warm, cut where you scored earlier. let cool a little and drizzle with sugar glaze. Let stand 15 minutes more before removing from pan.

Step 5FOR GLAZE: combine all ingredents from above for glaze and if too thick add more milk.
