Ingredients

2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sweet butter, softened
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 - egg
1 tablespoon orange juice

How To Make christmas butter cookies

Step 1

Mix all ingredients, beating at low speed, until well mixed for 1-2 minutes.

Step 2

Divide into thirds. Chill for 1-2 hours or longer.
Step 3

Preheat oven to 400.
Step 4

Roll out on floured surface to 1/4" thick.
Step 5

Cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake g-10 minuters, until golden around the edges.
Step 6

Decorate as you wish with thin brightly colored icing.
