Ingredients

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1/2 c
    salted butter
  • 1/4 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c
    butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 c
    splenda brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    mini m&m’s chocolate

How to Make Chocolaty Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. In a medium sauce pan, melt together butter with semi-sweet chocolate and butterscotch chips on low heat stove. Turn off the heat and let it cool for 2-3 minutes, set aside.
  3. Mix together dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch and baking soda) in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  4. In separate large bowl, add sugar and brown sugar. Pour butter mixture into sugar mixture, stir with a wooden spoon. Add egg and vanilla extract, whisk by hand until well combined and creamy. Add dry ingredients until well combined. Fold in m&m’s chocolate.
  5. Scoop the cookie dough about 1 1/2 tablespoon, roll between your palms into balls of dough. Place on parchment lined baking sheet with 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes. Place a few of m&m’s and butterscotch chips on top of cookies after cooking.
