Ingredients

  • 3
    squares unsweeten chocolate
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • ·
    additional sugar

How to Make Chocolate Sugar Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted.Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  2. Stir in 1 cup of sugar into melted chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in egg and vanilla until completely mixed.Mix in flour,baking soda and salt. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oven to 375. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in additional sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until set.Remove from cookie sheets to cool on racks.
