chocolate sugar cookies/ peanut buttercream icing

This cookie recipe has been around my house for years. I just take it for granted that everyone has a recipe like this. This is an especially nice treat for the kids when they have a group over. They love their sweets and this is just a great simple easy sweet treat to whip up. Enjoy.

Ingredients
- COOKIES
- 1 1/2 cups ap flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ICING
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon whipping cream
- - 2 1/2 to 3 cups of confectioners sugar
How To Make chocolate sugar cookies/ peanut buttercream icing

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree.

Step 2Combine the dry ingredients for the cookies except for the sugar. Cream together all the wet ingredients with the sugar. Combine the wet with the dry till they are fully incorporated.

Step 3Using a tablespoon drop the cookies onto a sheet and bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Let completely cool before frosting.

Step 4Icing Combine the peanut butter, butter, and vanilla in a bowl and once combined add the whipping cream. Add half of the sugar and combine well...continue to add the sugar until it is the consistency that you like.

Step 5Once the cookies are cool frost them and enjoy.
