Ingredients

  • CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1/3 cup hershey's cocoa
  • 2 - 4 tablespoons sugar ( for rolling)
  • - optional: melted chocolate for dipping and chopped nuts make for sinful cookies.

How To Make chocolate snickerdoodles by freda

  • Step 1
    Preheat Oven @ 375. Cream together, sugar salt, & butter. Beat in Eggs. Continue beating til light & fluffy about 4 min. Add: Vanilla
  • Step 2
    Add: flour, cream of tartar, Soda, & cocoa. Mix til combined. Chill dough 1 hr.
  • Step 3
    Roll dough into 1" balls or larger. Roll in the remaining 2-4 TBS sugar.
  • Step 4
    Place on un-greased baking sheet, 2" apart. BAKE 11 min. @ 375, or til done and tops begin to crack. DO NOT OVER BAKE. . . Remove from oven let rest 2 min, then Cool on rack. TIP: These Can be rolled in PDR SUGAR in place of the granulated sugar. TIP#2: Can dip in melted Chocolate and Nuts for the Sinful kind of cookies.
