Ingredients

CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES

1 1/3 c
sugar
1/4 tsp
salt
2/3 c
butter
2 large
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla
2 1/4 c
flour
1/2 tsp
cream of tartar
3/4 tsp
soda
1/3 c
hershey's cocoa
2 - 4 Tbsp
sugar ( for rolling)
optional: melted chocolate for dipping and chopped nuts make for sinful cookies.

How to Make CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES by freda

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat Oven @ 375.
    Cream together, sugar salt, & butter.
    Beat in Eggs.
    Continue beating til light & fluffy about 4 min.
    Add: Vanilla
  • 2Add: flour, cream of tartar, Soda, & cocoa.
    Mix til combined.
    Chill dough 1 hr.
  • 3Roll dough into 1" balls or larger.
    Roll in the remaining 2-4 TBS sugar.
  • 4Place on un-greased baking sheet, 2" apart.
    BAKE 11 min. @ 375, or til done and tops begin to crack.
    DO NOT OVER BAKE. . . Remove from oven let rest 2 min, then Cool on rack.
    TIP:
    These Can be rolled in PDR SUGAR in place of the granulated sugar.
    TIP#2:
    Can dip in melted Chocolate and Nuts for the Sinful kind of cookies.
