Ingredients For chocolate shortbread

1 cbutter, room temperature

3/4 cpowdered sugar

1 tspvanilla extract

3 ozsemisweet chocolate, melted and slightly cooled

2 call purpose flour
How To Make chocolate shortbread

1Preheat oven to 300 F. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan

2Beat together butter and sugar until light and creamy. Beat in vanilla and melted chocolate
-
3Stir in flour, gently mixing until blended

4Spread in prepared baking pan

5Bake for 40 - 45 minutes until the center is firm

6Cool in pan

7These are kind of rich, so I cut them into small bars, about 1 1/2 inches by 2 inches, so this recipe makes about 3 dozen bars.
