    1 cup flour
  • ·
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • ·
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • ·
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ·
    1/8 tsp. salt
  • ·
    1/4 cup butter, softened
  • ·
    1/2 cup sugar
  • ·
    1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • ·
    1/2 tbsp. finely grated orange zest
  • ·
    1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Pumpkin Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 375. Set out two baking sheets. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in large bowl. Use a pastry blender to cut in butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in the sugar, pumpkin and orange zest. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop teaspoons of the dough 2 inches apart on the baking sheets. Bake until golden, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on the baking sheets until the cookies firm slightly, about 5 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 22
