Last Christmas, a church sister gifted me with a box of these, and after tasting them, I asked her for the recipe. They are mmm mmm good to me! My grandkids love this, too. I am always looking for recipes that my grandkids will enjoy. Simple and oh so good!!

Blue Ribbon Recipe

When assembled, these chocolate peanut butter grahams are an explosion of flavors in your mouth. You can't just eat one and be satisfied. The graham crackers are slightly sweet. They're topped with creamy, nutty, and salty peanut butter. Then, everything is coated in rich chocolate. Sweet, salty, and savory, they're addictive. They'd make a wonderful homemade gift. Experiment with this recipe and try marshmallow cream instead of peanut butter, too.

Ingredients

  • 1 jar creamy peanut butter (16 oz)
  • 1 package graham crackers, broken into rectangles (14.4 oz)
  • 1 1/2 pounds milk chocolate candy coating

How To Make chocolate peanut butter grahams

  • Spread peanut butter on one side of the graham cracker.
    Step 1
Spread a rounded teaspoonful of peanut butter on one side of the graham crackers.
  • Top with another graham cracker.
    Step 2
    Top with remaining crackers.
  • Melt chocolate over a double boiler.
    Step 3
In a large heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the candy coating. Melt the candy coating until it has melted and smooth.
  • Dip the graham crackers in the melted chocolate.
    Step 4
Dip the cookies in the coating to completely cover. Allow excess to drip off. I use the tines of a fork to do this. Bring the covered cookies up with the fork and let them drip inside the pan for a few seconds to drip off.
  • Place on a piece of waxed paper to cool.
    Step 5
Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Let stand until firm. Store in an air-tight container in a cool, dry place.
