  • 1 pkg
    chocolate cake mix (2 layer size)
  • 1 pkg
    3.9 oz jell-o chocolate instant pudding
  • 1/2 c
    (1 stick) butter, margarine, melted
  • 1/2 c
    cold milk
  • 6
    squares baker's semi sweet chocolate, chopped, divided
  • 1 c
    planter's dry roasted peanuts, divided
  • 1 c
    creamy peanut butter

How to Make Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cookie Bars


  1. Heat oven to 350. Line 13x9 dish with foil, spray with cooking spray.
  2. Mix first 4 ingredients until blended. (Mixture should be thick). Press half the cake mix mixture into prepared pan.
  3. Bake 10 min.
  4. Sprinkle half each of the chocolate and nuts over crust; top with peanut butter. Cover with layers of remaining cake mix mixture, chocolate and nuts. Press gently with spatula.
  5. Bake 15 min. Cool 1 hour. Refrigerate 4 hours before cutting into bars.
