Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix (2 layer size)
  • 1 package 3.9 oz jell-o chocolate instant pudding
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 6 - squares baker's semi sweet chocolate, chopped, divided
  • 1 cup planter's dry roasted peanuts, divided
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

How To Make chocolate-peanut butter cookie bars

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Line 13x9 dish with foil, spray with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    Mix first 4 ingredients until blended. (Mixture should be thick). Press half the cake mix mixture into prepared pan.
  • Step 3
    Bake 10 min.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle half each of the chocolate and nuts over crust; top with peanut butter. Cover with layers of remaining cake mix mixture, chocolate and nuts. Press gently with spatula.
  • Step 5
    Bake 15 min. Cool 1 hour. Refrigerate 4 hours before cutting into bars.
