chocolate peanut butter chip cookies

My daughter's favorite cookie that from scratch took too long to make. I made a knock off version of the original that is passable and uses cake mix!! Enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 box devil's food cake mix--i use duncan hines.
- 1 stick unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 - large egg at room temperature
- 1/4 cup peanut butter ( creamy works best)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1-2 tablespoon milk
- 1 package peanut butter chips
- 1/4 cup sugar ( for decorating... i use colored sugar for holidays)
- 1 - tablespoon ( for scooping out cookie dough)

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and peanut butter. Add cake mix, eggs, and salt. Add milk one tbsp at a time. Fold in peanut butter chips. Mix will be fudge-like. Use tablespoon to spoon out dough. Use hands to roll into a ball.Roll balls in sugar. Place onto un-greased cookies sheet. Use glass to press down balls into flatter shapes. Bake for 11-14 minutes until cookies start to crack. Remove from oven and allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
