chocolate oatmeal cookies
These are my teenage son's favorite cookies. I usually make a batch about once a month. I have to admit, these are some of my favorites also.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups uncooked rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate oatmeal cookies

Step 1Mix sugar and cocoa in a boiler and stir lightly.

Step 2Add milk and butter; place on medium high heat. Stir.

Step 3Cook until it starts to boil; stir as it cooks; boil for about 2 minutes; remove from stove.

Step 4Add peanut butter and vanilla; stir until peanut butter is melted into chocolate.

Step 5Add the oats and stir until they are coated thoroughly.

Step 6Spoon onto waxed paper or cookie sheets coated with Crisco.

Step 7Don't tell anyone else, but you can lick the bowl. But be careful, it's hot!
