- 2 1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/3 cups butter, melted
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi sweet dark chocolate chips
How To Make chocolate oat cookies

Step 1preheat the oven to 350°. Set out two baking sheets. Stir together the oats, both sugars, flour and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and stir in the butter, egg, and vanilla. Stir in the chocolate chips, mixing until well mixed.

Step 2Drop teaspoons of the dough 3 inches apart onto the baking sheets. Bake until lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheets until the cookies firm slightly, about five minutes. Transfer to wire racks and let cool completely. Makes about 30 cookies
