butter, softened
1 c
powdered sugar
1 1/4 c
all purpose flour
1/3 c
cocoa, unsweetened
1 can(s)
sweetened condensed milk
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 pkg
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c
chopped walnuts

How to Make Chocolate Nut Toffee Bars


  • 1Reserve 2 tablespoons butter.
  • 2Beat remaining butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • 3Add flour and cocoa: mix well.
  • 4Press into a greased 13 x 9 in. pan.
  • 5Bake 15 minutes in a 350' oven.
  • 6In saucepan combine reserved butter and concensed milk.
  • 7Cook and stir 15 minutes on med. heat.
  • 8Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • 9Pour over crust.
  • 10Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • 11Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Cover with cookie sheet for 5 minutes
  • 12Spread chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
    Gently pat down.
  • 13Cool and cut into diamonds.
