Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 - egg
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped
- 1 1/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1 1/4 cups finely chopped nuts, ( i used pecans)
How To Make kat's chocolate dipped cranberry cookies

Step 1Mix shortening and sugar until fluffy, add vanilla and egg, mix well. In a seperate bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt, add to shortening mix, mix well until soft dough forms, stir in cranberries. Drop dough by rounded tsp onto cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350. Cool completely in wire rack.

Step 2Dip half the cookie into melted chocolate then sprinkle nuts over the chocolate. Grab a cup of hot coffee or cold milk and enjoy.
