  • 1 c
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 1
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2 c
    fresh or frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/3 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 1/4 c
    finely chopped nuts, ( i used pecans)

How to Make Kat's Chocolate Dipped Cranberry Cookies


  1. Mix shortening and sugar until fluffy, add vanilla and egg, mix well. In a seperate bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt, add to shortening mix, mix well until soft dough forms, stir in cranberries. Drop dough by rounded tsp onto cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350. Cool completely in wire rack.
  2. Dip half the cookie into melted chocolate then sprinkle nuts over the chocolate. Grab a cup of hot coffee or cold milk and enjoy.
