There are many recipes on JAP for Magic Cookie Bars or "Hello Dollies", but I did not see many with CHOCOLATE cookie crust. Magic Cookie Bars are so good and are often part of a cookie tray for Christmas parties. Try these chocolate crust bars for something different. Your chocolate lovin' friend will thank you! Do a tray with both regular Magic Cookie Bars and these for a nice choice.

  • 1 1/2 c
    graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c
    burtter or margarine, melted
  • 1 can(s)
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 pkg
    chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • 1 c
    butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips
  • 1 1/3 c
    coconut flakes
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make Chocolate Crusted Magic Cookie Bars


  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg. Combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa, sugar and butter. Press firmly on bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Pour Sweetened condensed milk (14 Oz size) evenly onto crust. Top with remaining ingredients and press down firmly. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars. Store loosely at room temperature.
