chocolate crinkle cookies
Another one I made tonight, but everyone was asleep, so no tasters except me, who loves chocolate and thought these had a nice chocolate fudge taste to them. And they're pretty. Again, from "Cookies' by Taste of Home.

Ingredients
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - egg whites
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
How To Make chocolate crinkle cookies

Step 1In microwave, melt 1 cup of the chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and then set to the side to cool slightly. In separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until slightly crumbly. Add the egg whites and vailla, mixing well.

Step 2Add melted chocolate. In separate bowl, combine flour and baking powser. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with water. Stir in remaining chocolate chips. Cover dish and refrigerate for about 2 hours or until the dough is easy to handle.

Step 3Preheat oven to 350. Shape chilled dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Place about 2" apart on baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool on rack.
