Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter flavor shortening
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 48 - manchino cherries
  • DIPPING CHOCOLATE
  • 1 cup melted chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter flavor shortening
  • - finely chopped pecans

How To Make chocolate cover cherries

  • Step 1
    Heat oer to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Cream butter flaor crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed until well blended.
  • Step 3
    Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Beat into creamed mixture at low speed.
  • Step 4
    P{ress dough in very thin layer around well drained cherries. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 for 10 minuites. Cool on baking sheet one minute. Move to cooling rack and cool completly.
  • Step 6
    For Chocolate Dipping, melt chocolate and butter flavor crisco in glass measuring cup. Drop one cookie at a time in the chocolate. Use fork to turn the cookies covering completly. Use fork to left cookies allow excess to drip off.
  • Step 7
    Place on was paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with pecan.
