2/3 c
butter flavor shortening
3/4 c
1 Tbsp
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 3/4 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
baking soda
manchino cherries


1 c
melted chocolate
2 Tbsp
butter flavor shortening
finely chopped pecans

How to Make Chocolate Cover Cherries


  • 1Heat oer to 350 degrees
  • 2Cream butter flaor crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed until well blended.
  • 3Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Beat into creamed mixture at low speed.
  • 4P{ress dough in very thin layer around well drained cherries. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  • 5Bake at 350 for 10 minuites. Cool on baking sheet one minute. Move to cooling rack and cool completly.
  • 6For Chocolate Dipping, melt chocolate and butter flavor crisco in glass measuring cup. Drop one cookie at a time in the chocolate. Use fork to turn the cookies covering completly. Use fork to left cookies allow excess to drip off.
  • 7Place on was paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with pecan.
