This is good with pecans, macadamia or any other nut you prefer. You can also use vanilla sandwich cookies for the crust!

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 stick
    butter, melted
  • 12 oz
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 oz
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    walnuts, chopped

How to Make Chocolate Cookie Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven 350.
  2. Combine cookie crumbs and butter; press onto bottom of 9x13 baking dish; set aside.
  3. In medium saucepan, combine 1/2 the chocolate chips, condensed milk and vanilla over medium heat; stir while cooking, until chips are melted. Pour mixture evenly over cookie crust. Top with nuts and remaining chocolate chips.
  4. Bake 20 minutes; or until set. Cool then cut into bars.
