Chocolate chip cookies, my favorite! But one day I wanted to make them more festive for the holidays. So I came up with this recipe. Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho! (Gobble them up anytime, though!)

Ingredients

2 1/4 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
1 c
butter (kerrygold is best), softened
3/4 c
granulated sugar
3/4 c
packed brown sugar
1 1/4 tsp
vanilla
2 large
eggs, preferable room temperature
1 tsp
water
2 c
milk chocolate chips
1/2-3/4 c
walnuts, english, or almonds, coarsely chopped
1/2-3/4 c
pecans, toasted preferably
5 oz
andes peppermint crunch chips, or to taste

How to Make Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Have cookie sheets ready, ungreased.
  • 2In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt. In mixer bowl, combine butter, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat with mixer until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well till well mixed. Gradually add in the flour mixture till well blended. Next blend in the milk chocolate chips, nuts and peppermint chips.
  • 3Drop by rounded tablespoon onto awaiting baking sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before removing. Serve with cold glass of milk and smiles.
