Ingredients

LAYER THE FOLLOWING IN A 1-QUART JAR:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 cups flour
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate chip / pecan shortbread mix in a jar

Step 1

Attach the following recipe on a gift tag: Chocolate Pecan Shortbread: Cream 2 sticks of softened butter until light and fluffy. Blend in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add contents of jar and mix well; dough will be stiff. Press dough into 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Store in tightly covered container.
