chocolate chip currant cookies
I love changing old recipes into something new and I love currants use them in a lot of things that I bake and cook!

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 - eggs
- 1 package 12 oz dark chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups currants
How To Make chocolate chip currant cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. Stir together your flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.

Step 2In a large bowl or standup mixer beat your butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy. Add your eggs and mix well. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix well. Sitr in your chocolate chips and currants by hand.

Step 3Chill for at least 1 hour or overnight. Drop by rounded teaspoons unto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
