These chocolate chip cookies are great when they come out of the refrigerator and you have a glass of milk with them. They are very easy to make, so cool them and stick them in the refrigerator for a special treat later.

Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
How To Make chocolate chip cookies

Step 1Cream together, butter, white sugar and brown sugar until it is smooth.

Step 2Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time.

Step 3Stir in vanilla.

Step 4Dissolve baking soda in the hot water and add to batter.

Step 5Add the salt to the batter.

Step 6Stir in flour, chocolate chips and nuts.

Step 7Drop by tablespoon onto un-greased cookie sheets.

Step 8Bake for ten minutes or until edges are brown.
