These chocolate chip cookies are great when they come out of the refrigerator and you have a glass of milk with them. They are very easy to make, so cool them and stick them in the refrigerator for a special treat later.

Ingredients For chocolate chip cookies

  • 1 c
    softened butter
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 1 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    hot water
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts

How To Make chocolate chip cookies

    Cream together, butter, white sugar and brown sugar until it is smooth.

    Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time.

    Stir in vanilla.

    Dissolve baking soda in the hot water and add to batter.

    Add the salt to the batter.

    Stir in flour, chocolate chips and nuts.

    Drop by tablespoon onto un-greased cookie sheets.

    Bake for ten minutes or until edges are brown.
