I've tried SO many chocolate chip cookie recipes and after many attempts to create my own perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, I've finally done it with this one.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    melted butter
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts or pecans

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Using an electric mixer, cream butter, sugar & brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla, salt, and baking soda. Mix to combine.
  2. Add flour one cup at a time, mixing after each addition.
  3. When the mixture becomes crumbly, add chocolate chips and nuts. Stir with a spoon (DO NOT USE MIXER FOR THIS.)
  4. Drop by spoonfuls on parchment lined paper and bake 9-12 minutes.
