I think this recipe was on the 12 oz. BAKER'S Chocolate Flavored Chips package. In any event, I have used this recipe for probably 40 years, and the cookies never fail.

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Beat butter (Crisco), sugars, vanilla, water, and eggs until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix flour with soda and salt; blend into butter mixture. Stir in nuts and chips.
  3. Drop 2 inches apart from teaspoon onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
  4. I don't think you can find an easier or more delicious chocolate chip cookie.
