chocolate chip cookies
I know everyone has their own chocolate chip recipe they love so I thought I'd add my own. This was in my family's cookbook from the mid-1970's. I use either butter flavored or plain shortening, whatever I have in the house. Also, on frequent occasions, I add a bag of toffee chips just to change the taste up a bit. Always a big hit when I take them to work!

How To Make chocolate chip cookies
-
Step 1Combine flour, salt and baking soda in medium bowl. Set aside.
-
Step 2Cream butter and shortening until smooth. Add sugar and brown sugar, mix at medium speed until well blended; add eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes. I use a medium sized Pampered Chef scoop, which makes about 4 dozen cookies.
