Chocolate Chip Cookies
I use either butter flavored or plain shortening, whatever I have in the house.
Also, on frequent occasions, I add a bag of toffee chips just to change the taste up a bit.
Always a big hit when I take them to work!

1 tspbaking soda
2/3 cbutter, softened
1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
2 tspvanilla extract
12 ozchocolate chips
How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda in medium bowl. Set aside.
- Cream butter and shortening until smooth. Add sugar and brown sugar, mix at medium speed until well blended; add eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
I use a medium sized Pampered Chef scoop, which makes about 4 dozen cookies.
