Ingredients
- Cookiebase - cooking spray
- 8 tablespoons butter or margarine (1 stick)
- 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour all purpose
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup plus 2 tbsp of semisweet chocolate chips
- FOR THE FROSTING AND ASSEMBLY:
- 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 stick
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles or any
How To Make chocolate chip cookie cake

Step 1Make cookie base place 1 stick butter in the bowl,let 4 Tbsp of butter on counter let sit 45 minutes for frosting (assume all butter has to be softened at room temperature )

Step 2Arrange Rack in middle of the oven heat at 350' coat 1 9 inch round cake pan with cooking spray,line with parchment paper

Step 3Add 2/3 cup packed brown sugar and 1/3 cup granulated sugar to bowl of butter beat until light and fluffy 2-3 Beat in 2 eggs one at a time add second then add 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract and beat until combined 1 minute

Step 4Turn off mixer add 2 cup flour 1 tsp kosher salt or salt and 3/4 teaspoon baking soda beat on low speed until incorporated 1-2 minutes stir 1 cup of chocolate chips by hand

Step 5Transfer the dough to baking pan & press into an even layer with your hands (if dough is too sticky, lightly coat your clean hands with cooking spray) sprinkle remaining 2 Tbsps of chocolate chips on top

Step 6Bake until the top is lightly browned and no longer shiny 20-25 minutes place pan on wire rack to cool completely in the pan

Step 7If desired make frosting place 4 Tbsps butter in clean bowl add 2Tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder 1tbsp plus 1 tsp milk and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract beat on low speed until smooth 2-3 minutes

Step 8Add 1 cup of powdered sugar mix on low speed until combined 1-2 minutes, increase speed to high until frosting is light and fluffy and doubled in volume,scraping side of bowl halfway through, 1-2 minutes total,transfer icing to piping bag fitted with star tip or zip top bag and set aside.

Step 9Assemble cookie cake: place cookie on serving plate or cake stand. Pipe small decorative mounds of frosting around edge of cookie.sprinkle the frosting and cookie with 2 Tbsps of Sprinkles (rainbow or any)
