chocolate chip angel cookies

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup walnuts
- 6 ounces package semisweet chocolate chips
- - granulated sugar (for rolling)
How To Make chocolate chip angel cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350* and lightly grease cookie sheets.

Step 2Combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt in small bowl.

Step 3Beat butter, shortening, and sugars in large bowl until blended. Add egg; beat well; add vanilla. Add flour mixture; blend well.

Step 4Stir in walnuts and chocolate pieces. Roll dough into walnut-size balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place about 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.

Step 5Bake in preheated 350* oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until firm to touch. Cool on wire racks.
