This recipe makes a dense but still cake like brownie with a strong banana flavor. I am not sure where I got this recipe but I have been making these for a long time. And yes, it really does take only 1/2 cup of flour. Be sure to test before removing from oven. Depending on your oven it may need to bake longer than 40 minutes.

Ingredients For chocolate banana brownies

1/2 cbutter, melted and cooled

1 csugar

1/4 ccocoa
-
2 lgeggs, lightly beaten

1 Tbspmilk

1 1/2 tspvanilla extract

1/2 call purpose flour

1 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt
-
1 cmashed ripe banana
-
1 cchopped walnuts
- OPTIONAL:

a little powdered sugar
How To Make chocolate banana brownies

1In a bowl, combine butter, sugar and cocoa. Stir in eggs, milk and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in bananas and nuts.

2Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until brownies test done. Cool on a wire rack. Just before serving, dust with confectioners' sugar if desired.
