Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup shortening or butter
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 can banana,mashed (3 med.)
  • 1 cup rasins
  • 1 1/2 cu cans chopped walnuts
  • VANILLA FROSTING
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup buttter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/ 3 tablespoons milk

How To Make choco-banana cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Cream together the sugar and shortening. Beat in the egg and almond and vanilla extracts. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and cocoa.
  • Step 3
    Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternating with the banana. Stir in the raisins and nuts.
  • Step 4
    Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes, depending on size. Let cool before frosting.
  • Step 5
    FOR THE FROSTING: Mix together the powered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk. Add more milk if necessary to make the frosting a nice spreading consistency.
