YIELD : 4 1/2 doz.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup shortening or butter
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 can banana,mashed (3 med.)
- 1 cup rasins
- 1 1/2 cu cans chopped walnuts
- VANILLA FROSTING
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup buttter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2/ 3 tablespoons milk
How To Make choco-banana cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2Cream together the sugar and shortening. Beat in the egg and almond and vanilla extracts. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and cocoa.

Step 3Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternating with the banana. Stir in the raisins and nuts.

Step 4Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes, depending on size. Let cool before frosting.

Step 5FOR THE FROSTING: Mix together the powered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk. Add more milk if necessary to make the frosting a nice spreading consistency.
