almond extract
1 c
1/2 tsp
1/3 c
whole almonds

How to Make Chinese Almond Cookies


  • 1Sift flour, sugar, soda and salt together into a bowl.
  • 2Cut in butter until mix resembles cornmeal.
  • 3Add egg and almond extract; mix well.
  • 4Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 5Place an almond atop each cookie and press down to flatten slightly.
  • 6Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
  • 7Cool on rack.
