chewy peanut butter cookies
I love this recipe not only because the cookies are chewy and practically melt in your mouth after they've just come out of the oven, but also because of how quick they are. The cookies don't take any out-of-the-norm ingredients, and take 6 to 9 minutes to bake.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 medium egg
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons sugar
How To Make chewy peanut butter cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 375ºF.

Step 2In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and butter. Beat until light and fluffy.

Step 3Add peanut butter, vanilla and egg. Blend well.

Step 4Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.

Step 5Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place dough balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 6With fork dipped in sugar, flatten balls in criss-cross pattern.

Step 7Bake at 375º for 6 to 9 minutes or until set and golden brown.
