My sister in law served these at Thanksgiving one year. I have made them in the fall each year, ever since.

Ingredients

1 c
sugar
3/4 c
oil or shortening
1
egg
1/4 c
molasses
2 c
flour, sifted
1 tsp
ginger
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
extra sugar for rolling cookie balls in

***PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES***

Step-By-Step

1Mix sugar, oil, egg and molasses in mixer.
2Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
3Roll into little balls. Roll each ball in sugar. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool on cooling rack.
